Cancel your mixi account
If I didn’t love Mixi, I wouldn’t have made this guide and if you didn’t want to join and use Mixi, you wouldn’t be here, reading this guide.
But sometimes, we have problems in Mixi such as ex-girlfriends or bfs finding our username and telling our new partners all our bad traits, etc. Usually the best way to eliminate this problem is to threaten to post compromising photos of said ex online. When that doesn’t work or when you really just need to close your current Mixi account, here’s what to do:
Sign-in to your Mixi account.
Mixi likes to make the “Cancel Account” link very hard to find as they make good money in advertising and every user who leaves is money lost for Mixi. That being said, I’ve found the link to that page in Mixi and here it is for you:
Clicking on this link will take you to the following screen (shown here in English and Japanese):
Mixi likes to design most screens similar to this, with an input screen which lead to a onfirmation screen.
In this cancel account screen, you have only two places to type:
Your password field.
A box below is also available should you wish to type your reason for leaving Mixi. You can type this reason in English or Japanese. I recommend writing in English here as it will help the Mixi admins realise there are many English speakers and eventually make all parts of Mixi more English-friendly 
Once you have filled in both areas and are sure you want to cancel the account, click the Confirm button at the bottom of your screen.
You may now want to start a new account, and for this you’ll need another, new Mixi account.
